And we’re off to Mexico City! You may have noticed the shop is closed while we’re gone and the blog will be quiet as well. Both will be back up and running July 25th. I can’t wait to share our trip when we return as well as the loot I’ll be sourcing (cross your fingers I find the ‘real’ Mexican markets not the tourist ones). Have a great next few weeks!

I just discovered your lovely blog. I’m just new into blogging this year & have put together a daily blog on design, fashion, food, travel and anything pretty.
I had a lot of fun putting it together maybe you would like to check it out if you have a spare minute.

    Love that photo!
I can’t wait to see what you find at the markets! Very exciting!

  3. Hope you have an amazing trip to Mexico, I have to say I’m very jealous. I have never been but it is definitely on my ‘must go before I die’ list!

Can’t wait to hear all about it.

  5. Hey Bre,

When I was in Mexico City last year I did a lot of market exploring. There is a vintage market (Tianguis Domincal de la Lagunilla, cnr Gonzalez Bocanegra & Paseo de la Reforma) with several buildings adjacent that hold flea market style shopping. I did not really find much in the way of textiles but it was fun.
There is a great market near the home of Frida Kahlo that we found great and lively on a Saturday night. There is a large open food court sort of eatery nearby with a lot of good food too.
Lastly, I actually found The Zocalo to have amazing shopping even though it is the most touristy – tons of feather earrings!

    Good luck!
